How do I know I need counselling?

There may be specific issues you are looking to understand more about or wanting to find more helpful coping skills.

Sometimes people seeking counselling have hit a crisis point where they are not feeling good about themselves or the lives they are living.

What happens in a counselling session?
We will work together to help you to find more effective ways of coping with the problems you are struggling with. I will create a bespoke plan to support you in meeting your goals and looking at your personal needs.

How many sessions do I need?

I offer short and longer term therapy. Depending on your goals and applying new skills between sessions you should find you are able to see changes within 6- 10 sessions.

What are your specialist areas?

I am a trauma informed practitioner which means I am trained to understand the impact of interpersonal trauma and the effects on people.

I have worked since 2008 with clients affected by alcohol and drug misuse and issues such as Compulsive Sexual Behaviours, Chemsex, Gambling and Co-dependency.

My experience and training has centred in particular around a LGBTQI+ affirmative approach and a Neurodiversity affirmative approach.
